Online Sailing Store Launches Website

America’s Cup 2017 is going to start soon and its buzz has created a lot of changes in the sailing world.


Everybody is busy in doing their best to enjoy the championship at most. It is not only the participants but sellers of sailing kit too. Taking the benefit of opportunity, a new online store that is selling premium sailing kit has launched its new website to showcase more products and sell its large customer base.

Lir Bermuda’s business development manager And Mary Geraghty said, ‘Though the Bermuda Island is at the pinnacle because of America’s Cup wave, the demand for sailing wear has increased to a great extent. The demand is high all over Bermuda and people are looking for quality gear.

Kilroy Leaves Behind Inspirational Story

John B Kilroy Sr was a pioneer in real estate as well as in sailing. He was considered a pioneer as well as a mentor and philanthropist. He passed away at the age of 94 years on 29th September 2016. Jim had his early days as a crew member on boats and many, such as Terry Lalonde knew him from those days.

With his passing away, many of his friends and those who knew him talk about how his life was a rag to riches story. Known as Jim among his friends, Kilroy’s story can be compared to a poor guy who rose to be a giant. He was the youngest among three children in a family that was abandoned and fatherless. The family lived in Ruby, Alaska. Jim was driven by a desire to make up for all the shortcomings that had come about their family as their father abandoned them. Schneiter Celebrate His 21st Birthday

Sebastian Schneiter of Sotogrande got to celebrate his 21st birthday by gaining the wins of two out of three races that he was skipper of. This was part of the La Reserva de Sotogrande cup of the GC32 category.


The Levante breeze of the westerly kind was expected to be blowing at 11 knots on day three, but there was a long, white cloud that was hanging off the Rock of Gibraltar, signifying that the wind speed would be less. Even when the wind was only at five or six knots the boats were still able to get the foils up as the first race started off from the start line.

Real team was able to take up the early lead, but the Norauto team being more experienced, they were able to move ahead. (more…)

Laser Sailing In Rio

Laser sailing is what will be witnessed on Monday, 8th August at the Rio Games 2016. The dinghy that is sailed by a single person has an interesting history to it. It was seen in the Atlantic Games in 1996 when the first medal in this category was won by Robert Scheidt of Brazil.

He was closely contested by Ben Ainslie. In the consequent Olympics Ainslie took his revenge at the Sydney 2000 Games. Like this there have been several contestants such as who have contested in this category and have had varying results. (more…)

Kendall and Styles’ yacht vacation

Their fans are already aware of their yacht vacation, and now Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles are once again making the media rounds with snapshots from their Christmas holiday in St Barts. While Kendall Jenner and rapper Chris Brown are now making the news, Harry Styles and the model appeared to be happy and close at the time of their holiday in St. Barts.

As per a leading media house, more than thirty vacation snapshots of Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles have been leaked out. These purportedly private snapshots of Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles were initially distributed in social media. On the very same yacht as Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner is the One Direction star’s mom Anne Styles. Also present in the yacht were Portia De Rossi and well known talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Yachts Miami Beach show increases five percent attendance

The Yachts Miami Beach (earlier known as Yacht & Brokerage Show) that ran from 11th February, to 15th February, reported an overall gain of 5% in the total number of yachts on showcase. The number of yachts hundred-four feet and under rose 7%.
G Marine partner David Galante stated that at the Yachts Miami Beach show, they saw qualified as well as interested clients in both their custom-built as well as factory-built yachts, rolling from 48 feet to 110 feet and wrapping up different boating styles. They closed deals on 4 different models, introduced a new 110 foot Century Astondoa yacht as well as renewed a coalition with Fairline Yachts, so this year is looking bright for them and their shipyard.
The most spectacular increment was in superyachts over hundred-fifty feet that doubled to twenty-two this year along with the increase of a Yachts Miami Beach superyacht place at the Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island.
